Ship was clean and modern. Staff was attentive, friendly and available when needed.

Food was a bit salty but it was tasty and plentiful. Many good choices based upon one's tastes. Pizza bar was a positive and surprisingly good. Hamburger and hot dog area was good and had real tasty fries. Main dining room had varied and satisfying menu. Wine was a little overpriced for the quality. Desserts were plentiful and delicious. Buffet area was better than expected. Had varied menu. Breakfast buffet had enough to choose from, including freshly made omelets. Baked goods were very good. Lunch menu was similarly satisfying.

Stateroom was roomy enough and well appointed, with a larger than expected bath and balcony.

Entertainment by and large was mediocre, with a real hilarious stand-up comic. The performers were very good but the productions were a bit boring and corny. The ship's Captain entertained us during two shows, singing and playing guitar and was quite good. The singer/piano player had nice songs but couldn't seem to connect with the audience,so she fell flat. The magician/comedian had a fairly entertaining act. After the shows, there were activities in which the officers and staff interacted with passengers.

The cruise population was somewhat elderly (as opposed to seniors who are more lively) so the nightlife was a bit wanting. No upbeat shows for younger, fun-loving cruisers.

Ports of call were interesting. Some places like Cozumel had aggressive people trying to get you into their shops, but not obnoxious. Some were actually funny.

Did diving excursions. All went smoothly. Divers should dive the wreck of the Kittywake if diving the Grand Cayman.

Lively activities at the outdoor pool area. It's the place to be to meet people and enjoy afternoon entertainment. Crew members took part in pool activities, which was well received. There is a solarium pool for those who seek a more sedate venue.

Enjoyed the cruise. would sail with Celebrity again. Only real complaint was the population of young people made the activities less lively than I prefer (I'm nearly 60).Ship was clean and modern. LANCE SAILORS
TRIED IT... DIDN'T LIKE IT. Although the Solstice is an absolutely beautiful ship, we found the dining room food mediocre at best and the service poor. However, the premium restaurants are exceptiional. Our Caribbean passenger list was young, athletic and active, which made the ship crowded and noisy. We'll stick with the smaller ships of Princess and Oceania which are intimate, elegant and sophisticated.
