Day 1 - Arrival

Swiss Emerald Blog - This is going to be a quick entry. After a grueling 10-hour flight on American from DFW to Paris, we arrived at around 11am. The flight was delayed three hours out of Dallas, and therefore, late arriving in Paris. Without question, it was the oldest plane in the AA fleet. More about this later. All we can think about is getting to the hotel and getting some sleep before meeting the rest of the Tauck group for dinner this evening.
We were greeted at the airport by the Tauck transfer representative who quickly escorted us to the waiting Mercedes van for our transfer to the Hilton Arc de Triomphe. Once we arrived, we wasted no time getting checked in and heading to our room. The hotel is very nice, quite upscale for a Hilton, and the room looks comfortable and large. Right now, all I can see is the bed!

Later, we are scheduled to meet with the rest of the tour group for dinner at the famed Le Fouquet's restaurant. But for now...sleep!
